Think of it like a recipe. Do March's tasks in March. Don't jump ahead to May. Follow the rhythm of the season, and your lawn will reward you with deep roots, rich color, and fewer problems come summer.

🌱 March: Clean Up & Prep
March is all about waking your lawn up gently. The ground is still cool, and grass is just starting to think about growing. Your job? Clear the way.
✅ What to Do in March:
Rake gently. Use a leaf rake (not a garden rake) to remove winter debris—leaves, twigs, and that dead layer of grass called "thatch." Be gentle; you don't want to uproot new growth.
Prune trees and shrubs. Late March is perfect for cutting back anything that didn't survive winter or needs shaping.
Test your soil. A simple soil test tells you if your lawn is too acidic or missing nutrients. Most garden centers sell DIY kits.
